About Me

Scissors Paper Spoon is an ode to all things beautiful (and very often edible too).  From crochet to crumpets, dinner recipes to DIY, I want hope to inspire in my own small way through handmade projects, recipes, tips and general musings on life.

I love food so maybe it won’t to surprise you to know that I actually talk about it for a living.   During the day I’m a publicity director at the lovely Sauce Communications coming up with PR campaigns for brilliant chefs, restaurants and cookery books.  Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to break bread with the likes of Ferran Adrià and René Redzepi and learn what really makes them tick.  This is why I love what I do.

My spare time is spent – you guessed it – cooking, sewing crafty things, travelling, reading and hunting out weird and wonderful restaurants, shops and markets.

So, in a walnut shell, Scissors Paper Spoon is designed to celebrate the best of all this.   I hope you enjoy these musings and if you have any comments, I’d love to hear them…

Finally a big thank you to the lovely James Robinson of Jalloro who helped create this site.
